Remember the shoes I mentioned a couple of days ago? (the ones I fell in love with) Well, here they are…

And yes, they are on my (finally) pedicured feet - can’t preach the necessity of a pedicure without having one myself now, can I? And if you’re frowning, it’s a snakeskin print. Or so it says on the website.
(K. Jacques’ new season at Lane Crawford)

Rolled up bandana shorts from Zara Homme and a tie instead of a belt. Awesomeness.

Monsoon has hit us hard - strong winds, erratic rain, the weather is on its period and is acting psycho bitch. But, despite the hormonal doings taking place above us, I’m still on my search for the perfect summer dress.

Dress from Marc Jacobs, from a few seasons ago.

This is Kay…

… in wood platforms, harem pants…

… a sheer crop top…

… and a gorgeous ring.
I am vegetarian. So when it comes to fur (or leather), I always have a debate with myself: do I like it? do I love it? should I be hating it?
Well, I have a confession to make: I absolutely adore it (NOOOOOoooo! says that little voice in my head)

A gorgeous pair of cow hide sandals - similar ones available at K Jacques.
Before you start judging me (because I am having that debate I mentioned and am feeling the need to justify the above…) - I do not own any fur and promise to only inherit fur if I really really need it (i.e. move to Siberia, which ain’t happening soon).
What is your opinion on fur?

Aviators, double layer tanks, a wooden heart (muss I denn, muss I denn) and a vintage skirt that flows in the wind.
I am in love. I am so in love. My smelly feet, my dirty toenails, my torn jeans - it didn’t matter. We totally clicked - I fell in love with an overpriced pair of sandals. Crap.
I couldn’t find a picture online, so I’ll post these gorgeous sandals instead. They don’t look anything like the ones I was writing about (did I mention that I bought them tomorrow?), but they’re just as nice.

Bought in a boutique, somewhere in North Point, just a couple of days ago.
I saw this lady in the underground and begged her for a photo…I said ‘Listen I only have 2 people on my blog, and I’m desperate to diversify…Help me out’ - only kidding.

We were both in a rush. It was ridiculously hot. I was faffing around with my camera. I started to panic and think she would walk away… So I gave in to AUTO.
Poo. I hate AUTO.
But on a positive side, I love her dress - In my state of panic I forgot to ask her where it was from, but the bright coral colour and ‘flowiness’ of it was amazing.

It’s thin, it looks light and it’s different… It’s the envelope bag. And the ladies seem to love it.
Available in Mong Kok - shop TBC.

Also available in a few colours, apparently…

For some rad photography, check out his blog: http://anthonysdaily.tumblr.com/

I can’t get over the fact that it’s so, so hot in Hong Kong. 30 degrees and 79% relative humidity makes me envy Asian people who seem to be missing sweat glands. But on a serious note, maybe there are a few things we could do to look a little more lady-like while sweating our butts off…
1- Try to walk the least possible. Don’t walk at all if possible.
2- Don’t multi-task (i.e. walking, talking on the phone and rummaging through bag at the same time). It’s the equivalent of a boot camp workout.
3- Which brings me to move less. Don’t stand around fanning your shirt or blowing down your top because it’s only going to make you hotter and make you look like an idiot.
4- Carry a fan - debatable, because it requires movement.
5- Try to stand next to someone who has a fan.
5- Avoid human contact and / or bumping into people you know.
6- If you do bump into someone you know, pretend you have no idea that you’re sweating and totally ignore the fact that you’re drenched. Or run away.
7- If you’re going to dry yourself with something, try to make sure it’s a handkerchief. Unless you want bits of tissue on your face.
8- Think of coldness, ice cubes and the Antarctica.
I dedicate this post to accessories for our male counterparts - the heat is no excuse to not wear scarves or bandanas. Au contraire! Wear more, more, more!

First, add extra colour to your outfit with a bright pattern scarf

… or a darker, rolled up bandana

Include a nice handkerchief in that back pocket (this is a great way to decorate in the summer heat)

Get a nautical watch to add flair…

Or of course the fail-proof gadget: a watch that glows in the dark.
It feels like ages since I’ve dedicated a post to shoes… 3 days.
Here is a post for the ladies, in the spirit of those gorgeous Givenchys that I posted on Friday. By that, I mean sandals… Possibly some more affordable ones.

Corals mixed with metallics. And check out that gorgeous print on her skirt (I think it was a skirt…).

Minimalist with silver heels

Beaded metal pieces

Gold metallic tressed straps

A mixture of formal and casual - and a touch of colour with a bandana.

Rolled up under-the-knee alternative shorts for a relaxed look

The quirkier look: blue, red and white with a pair of socks to match

For the sake of relating this photo to fashion, I have decided to take inspiration and base tomorrow’s outfit on the gorgeous flower above (yes, I will do my very best to dress like an orchid).
I don’t remember seeing anything pink in my wardrobe, so I hope this turns out to be an act of genius rather than a sacrifice. Photo will be posted if it’s the former.
Note made on 29 July: you might have noticed: no photo = total fail. Sorry.

Are you a Vans or a Converse person? Personally, I love both but have yet to find a pair of Vans that fit me (damn tiny footed people!). Next stop for me: Mong kok.

Red velvety Vans - a recent purchase for those of you who want to get the same…

Old school checkered Vans

Red leather…almost-Converse?
Here I am sweating in my favorite jacket - I can’t get enough of this green color. Photo taken by Ivy.

There are a few people who will never escape me and my camera for a few reasons. a- I work with them; b- they sit right next to me and; c- because I will make them miserable until they give me my shot. Only kidding.
This post is about one of those persons: Sozo. Yes, you’ve read about him before. I have yet to discover the real size of his wardrobe, but I can tell you this: he has the most amazing collection of clothes from around the world. Today he wore a jacket from a store in Montreal, below.

Tasseled orange skinny belt from Cheung Sha Wan

Club Monacco skinny orange belt (from a few seasons ago)

A yellow leather Mulberry bag

A bright red leather Kate Spade

Printed green Goyard (bought in NYC)

Orange leather messenger bag

And last but not least, a simple Prada brown leather handbag - with gorgeous accessories…
Now that the sun is gone and typhoons are coming to visit, I am a little less inclined to look for a summer dress.
And then they all go on sale… Bummer.

This is Xuan, and she has an eye for amazing items - for some a curse, others a blessing, she can spot the cream of the crop in a store that has been turned upside down by a bunch of hustling women, desperate for retail therapy.
She also has a notorious shoe collection that requires my special attention. Soon.

Alden Shoes…

I am in love with espadrilles this summer - or any shoe with a jute sole. I want them in every colour, shape, whatever. It’s an espadrilles obsession. Here are a couple of mine (that are so precious I have yet to wear them out…)

Ralph Lauren leather lace-ups

Candy stripes on the underground

My most precious of precious: Tabitha Simmons (as you can see, I’m not even wearing them. That’s how delicate they are to me).
More to come soon…
Yet another post dedicated to men’s shoes…

Vintage Vans

All American vintage skates

Leather slip ons

Casual colourful - the most incredible laces I have seen, ever.
